Artist writing about sustainability, health, and other thoughts of a 24 year old.
Why am I starting a blog? Good question! I've been wondering this myself.
Honestly, I'm starting a blog for two reasons: (1) I have been talking about starting one for three years now but have just been too intimidated to start, and (2) Pinterest revolves around blogs and I figured I had a lot to say! So might as well jump in.
The things I will be talking about are the things that inspire me: art, being environmentally friendly, health, and how they're all related. And if you haven't guessed, I'm Kaeli! I'm 24 living in Southern California and am currently trying to start my own art business.
^ that is me.
So, why am I qualified to talk about art, sustainability, and health? I'm not!!! But I also am. Let me explain.
I got my B.S. in Biology and learned a lot about how our bodies work and how that affects the environment. I am extremely interested in sustainability and have learned throughout the years about how we can be more environmentally friendly! I also have been diagnosed with several chronic illnesses (yay) and therefore, from the endless doctor visits, I know a good~ish amount about how different things affect our bodies. And lastly, art because I am an artist! I have been creating art my whole life and am now trying to make it a career. Gotta know a little about it then, right?
What to Expect
I don't want to set the standard too high. I'm not a professional guys. Oh god I'm already getting overwhelmed. It's fine, I'm fine.
I'm hoping to post about once a week! Right now, I'm wanting to post about ways we can all be a little more environmentally friendly as students, working adults, and anything else you consider yourself to be! No one is perfect, and believe me, I'm not either! I think the environmental movement can seem a little daunting looking from the outside in. I'm hoping I can show you small easy ways to keep the environment in mind no matter what you're up to.
Health topics will relate more to all of the things I have learned from going to the doctor about once a week for the past three years (I'm fine!! I think!!). These will not be professional health advice substitutes and always remember to contact your doctors about anything you're curious about before trying! Everyone's bodies are unique and I'm not trying to get sued everyone thank you :)
As far as art goes, I'm thinking about posting about the journey of becoming a full-time artist. It's a really hard industry to break into, and honestly guys I just need to vent! Let me be me!!
Are You Excited or Nervous?? :D
That question is for you. My answer is both. But we'll take this ride together and see where it takes us!
I'll be posting my first blog post by the end of next week. Hope you all enjoy and don't forget to leave a comment or share! Bye!
